The Artists

Banita Giri

Banita is from Nepal, but has spent much of her life in the USA. Her work is often influenced by the rich culture of her country. She now develops her skills at home as a hobby.

Caleb Webster

Caleb is from the USA and loves to produce pictures with his own twist on what he sees. The outcome is a unique piece of artwork that enhances the scenes depicted.

Elin Varenkamp

Elin is also from the USA and is passionate about both art and music. Elin’s area of expertise in art centres around the human body. Her latest creation in her AS art class is three people sculpted out of paper maché.

Ella Thain

Ella is Canadian, however like many of the artists at KISC, her art is often influenced by Nepal as she has lived there most of her life. This talented artist is now continuing to develop her skills by taking art at AS level after doing well in her IGCSEs.

Hayley Drown

As a Kiwi and proud of it, but having grown up in Nepal, her artwork is primarily influenced by an aspect of one of the two countries and their cultures.

Pravaas Gurung

Pravaas is half American and half Nepali. He enjoys experimenting with his art and creating pieces that are both unique and fun, as he pushes the boundaries to the limit

The others (In order of appearance: Jordan, Daniel, Nischal, Eben, Amelia, Miss Ellis)

OK, so they might be challenged to draw a stick figure, but they’ve got a lot of other great qualities, and deserve to get to go on our class trip too, don’t you think?
